INGREDIENTS

  • 12 large eggs
  • ¼ cup creamy salad dressing (like Miracle Whip)
  • ¼ teaspoon dry mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • Red food coloring
  • Blue food coloring
  • Green food coloring
  • 3 cups water (divided, or as needed)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. 1 Boil the eggs by placing them in a large saucepan covered with cold water. Bring to a boil, then turn off the heat and let sit covered for 20 minutes. Drain and cool under cold water before peeling.
  2. 2 Cut the cooled eggs in half lengthwise; remove yolks and mash them in a bowl. Combine with salad dressing, mustard, salt, pepper, and hot sauce until smooth.
  3. 3 In three bowls, mix each with food coloring in 1 cup of water. Soak egg whites until desired color is achieved (about 15 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
  4. 4 Spoon or pipe yolk mixture into colored egg whites. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
